  4. Hi and thanks for your videos! Where can I get the video that explains how to put the spring back? I’ve tried the links that you posted in the comments section but they don’t seem to work anymore.

  5. Thanks! The video was very helpful. The use of zip-ties to keep the spring compressed while reinstalling was especially helpful. I initially tried to use cheap Walmart zip-ties but they wouldn’t hold. I found heavy duty ones at Lowes rated at 75lb. tinsel strength that did the trick. I also found it helpful to loop the ties completely around the spring (end to end). It gave more compression and made it easier to get the spring in place.

  6. If the door is now tight when you pick up on the bottom of it, check the hinges to see if thery are bolted into place and allow for adjustments.

  17. Great vid; Sure helped me out!!!

  18. You would need to be careful about getting the hole to be the exact size that it is from the factory. If the hinges are welded to the body of the vehicle from the factory, and they’re really worn, it could be a little bit of a job to replace them. You may want to have an auto body shop take a look at them for you. Hope this helps you out. 888-844-3393

Have you ever replaced the hinges that are not bolt on? I’m looking for a way to repair my worn out hinges. The pin bushings do not last very long with elongated holes. What do you think about welding the worn side of the hole and then grinding it round again?

  20. You may be able to apply some of the basics to your vehicle (depending on how the door pins are made). It helps to have someone hold the door steady, and to use a floor jack to keep the door propped up so that you can service the hinges. 888-844-3393
